This method consists of the following stages:
- Creation of a personal profile which includes information about the clinical situation, personal habits, professional life and special characteristics of every person.
- Selection and fitting of totally customized hearing aids that are suitable and are intended to be used within this method.
- A personal rehabilitation program on which information about the person’s everyday life will be recorded, and according to which a number of actions will take place to achieve the final result.
- A personal program with exercises at home. This program includes special exercises which must be repeated every day for the first days after the fitting. These exercises intend to familiarize the brain with sounds unknown to it very fast, since they weren’t heard at all or correctly for more than 2-3 years.
- A schedule of meetings for information and implementation of corrective actions. At the beginning, what is necessary is a meeting every other week for the first 2 months and afterwards a meeting every 2 to 3 months.
